It used to be Chuck's Feed&Seed
Chuck died and Sneed, Chuck's friend and someone who he taught all he knew about farming, took over the store.The thing is, instead of carrying on the tradition of it being "Chuck's" store, he removed his name and added his own,Sneed.
He is trying to franchise the store under his name and management but has had some backlash from the local town folks who were/are still loyal to Chuck and everything he had done for the town,being a great farmer and a good guy.

Even if Sneed didnt mean to completly take for granted everything Chuck taught him and the reputation and business that Chuck aquired through his good will and name.It still seems kind of scummy that he would just remove his name from the store and put his own. IDK this was a pretty good episode of The Simpsons and worth checking out even though it still leaves some questions opened about what really happened between Chuck and Sneed.

This is an interesting take on the mindset of the tight knit Southern American community. Chuck was a local favourite, selling feed, seed and an assortment of other goods, when Chick passed away his good friend Sneed took over the business to keep his legacy alive. Sneed considered keeping the name as Chucks Feed and Seed, however people unfamiliar with the story kept inquiring where Chuck was. Completely getting rid of Chuck from the name would ruin the point of continuing the store and insult the regulars, so Sneed changed the store name to what it is today, with 'Formally Chuck's' being written in font almost as big as the name to show how important that aspect is. It's more of a breath out your nose joke than laugh out loud.
