I'm actually kind of relieved they changed from that direction. The Engineers are steep in mystery, and if 'The Adventures of Captain Shaw and his Android Sidekick David' meant detailing a lot of who the Engineers are, how they live, etc, I feel like it would greatly cheapen it.

This way, we might get a smaller amount of information, but of higher importance. It's like a story within a story - the story of Shaw and David is contained within the story of the Covenant. In any case, I'm hyped as fuck.

Having a Xenomorph or Proto-Xeno literally raping someone would honestly not be that out of place, when you consider the concept of Alien is basically interstellar rape.You have the face-hugger, which inserts its seed into its host by basically mouth raping them, with the chest burster/xenomorph representing the rape baby. Also with Lambert's death there's an implication that the xenomorph may have done more than just kill her.
