More heart. You may not think it but if you go back and watch some old episodes it's very noticeable through the way they all have genuine characters with more than one emotion.

I think that some of the problems with Zombie Simpsons (and a lot of comedy shows in general) is the timing. A lot of jokes could be funny but they are dragged for to long.
