Komisario Palmu. Agatha Christie style murder mystery movies (I think there's three of them). Black and white, since they're from the sixies.

They're really comfy and well done. Palmu smokes a cigar and yells at people, while his two helpers do all the legwork.

The level of screenwriting is appalling, but so is the type of movies that largely get funded, thanks to Solar Films popularizing aping and mimicking American movies. In Finland it's really hard to get into film-writing school. I guess the only people who get in are those who have so little soul they can actually go trough all the trouble. So only these soulless screenwriters have the grit to get into movies, and they write bland soulless scripts that turn into bland, umimpressive stories. Anyone with any spirit in them doesn't go trough the trouble of getting into this school. So they should start hiring more daring and soulfull screenwriters even if the leftist movie producers are scared of them.
