Wow anon, this is the first episode of cops I really watched, I watched it with my Grandfather. I still remember him saying how the cop should just take a knife and cut the guys pocket open.

COPS in the late 80s/early 90s was so different. They showed a lot more violence. I remember a special episode called "Homicide" where it started with an image of a dead woman on the street. You would also see cops beating the shit out of perps then screaming at them/berating them afterwards.

Now they are so polite and kind.

I guess we aren't getting any more episodes now that someone from production died.

I used to work for a cop show. Not as cool as COPS but we saw some crazy shit.

didn't really watch it enough to have a top 10 list but the funniest bits I recall seeing were that cop ordering an obese drug dealer to lift his shirt to check for weapons and he sort of laughs at his enormous flabby gut, and another one where some idiot cop straight out of central casting had to smash a window of a house he suspected might be on fire in the middle of the night, and he ended up accidentally smashing the window of the house next door and had to apologize to the confused old lady living there haha

Once I was holding a knife in bongland and the police man was only stood 6ft away from me and just said he would taze me rather than just doing it so I decided to put it down.
