Well the board was struggling for a few years. When it first opened there was a lot of legitimate discussions and tons of great streams. We also kept up to date on new torrents, etc.

But then the dark times began...

Phone posters pretty much figured out that they can never be banned. Phone posters are also lazy and cant be bothered to type out something longer than a few words. This sent post quality off a cliff.

Then the 2016 election happened, and there was a massive influx of new users. Worse than the 2006 chanology flood.

However, the biggest problem is with the basic nature of 4chan itself. Being as much of an idiot as possible gets you the biggest results. This is a system that does not reward quality, in fact, it's just the opposite.

you might see people using the word contrarian. These are called "redditors" or "plebs" and they love to watch capeshit, ignore them
