Mate, I watch that shit on a bi-weekly basis, I have no idea what you're talking about. The stopmotion adds a creepy, inhuman factor to the robot's movements and everything else looks incredible for a low budget flick. The acting is typical of an 80s movie, and there's nothing too cringeworthy.
