A lot of the sitcoms I watched like Family Matters and Fresh Prince of Bel-Air examined race relations and impacted young viewers on how to approach and examine something from the other person's shoes.

I recently watched the doc series on Netflix from CNN about the 60s 70s and 80s and it's fucking incredible the change that occurred through those decades and it is FUCKING NOTHING in comparison to what has changed from the 90s to now.

The internet. That's it. The internet has dwarfed any significant technological, social, political, and by extension of all of these cultural changes that came before it. I'm about to turn 28 and I firmly believe that I have observed more radical cultural change than someone who lived through every major war of the 20th century. The seed was planted in the 80's, it began to sprout in the 90's and now it has grown into something nobody could've imagined.

When I was a kid I remember when we got the internet at school and it was going to change the world for the better according to every teacher I ever had. It's better in some ways I suppose but I'm not sure it turned out as advertised.

To be honest I don't think most people are smart enough to be able to get into university. Maybe even I wasn't, I don't know. But of course they never want to turn down money, it's a giant scam. In my case, I probably should have been taught about trade schools at a younger age as should a lot of people.
