My friends are pressuring me into seeing GotG 2 today. Will I waste 9 pounds on this or can I enjoy it? Should I say I'm too busy?
>>
>>82176807
Nah you'll probably gain 9 pounds eating all your junk food and carbonated beverages for the entire session sitting on your ass.
>>
Tickets at my local place are $5, I'm thinking about going to see it because why the fuck not
Only thing I don't like about the place is that the urinals are like 1ft apart, and none of the toilet stalls have doors.
I've always had this fear that i'll suddenly have to take a shit while i'm there
>>
>>82176853
Tickets at my place are the equivalent of $11.66, and that's including the discount I get for knowing the owner.
>>
Just make sure you bring your falcon with you, OP.
>>
ur too busy

>>
>>82176807
Isn't it out next friday though? None of my local theaters are showing it until thurs.
>>
>>82176877
Tickets on the other side of Blumpfs wall can be as low as $1.10, $2.25-5.00 at normal prices, depending on the cinema
>>
>>82176807
just say I'm too busy
then they'll never ask you again
you lose your so called friends
end up alone
years after your only entertaineent is to watch movies in your flat. alone.
you watch GotG2 and realize it wasn't bad at all but you alienated your friends because of memes

Also why the fuck are your cinema tickets costing £9? That's almost a bloody tenner.

As long as you expect a movie about the characters first and foremost with lots of eye candy then yeah, you'll enjoy it.
>>
>>82177190
The fact that he said pounds and not dollars should have given you a clue.
>>
So how badly has this movie flopped? Is Marvel bankrupt yet?

How much beer does 9 pounds get you?
>>
>>82178235
So far it's on pace to beat every Marvel movie apart from The Avengers. I would guess that it won't beat Age of Ultron either though.
>>
>>82178271
Depends where you live. In London probably one bottle. In Hull on a students night, probably nine pints.

I think they keep the lights on, sound isn't as loud and people are free to run around and stuff
>>
>>82178580
What the fuck. Wouldn't autists want to focus on the movie even more than regular people? That sounds like an ADD screening.
>>
>>82177828

Do you not have a Cineworld? Standard 2D tickets are £11.50

>tfw remembering the days of seeing a film for a fiver with a student card

We have to go back :(
>>
>>82178602

this is the description on their site

>Lighting will be kept on during the screening.
>Volume levels will be reduced.
>There will be no advertisements or trailers.
>Seating will not be allocated.
>Customers will be allowed to bring in their own food.
>Screenings will be at 11am on the first Sunday of every month.

Sounds better than a regular screening tbqh apart from the lights being on
>>
>>82178676
They should have a depression friendly screening where you can bring alcohol and cigarettes

it is better spaceshit than the actual new spaceshit flicks. so there's that.
>>
Unless you're an arthousefag you'll like it. Saw it yesterday. Was much better than the first.
>>
>>82179805

Legit time traveler here, Aliens Covenant is considered worse than Alien 4 in my time which i left behind and can never return too..
>>
>>82177680
I saw it tonight, it's okay.
Chris Pratt is as always pure dogshit
Movie was predictable as fuck but it was worth the free ticket vouchers I had.

Also side note I live in Australia tickets here are getting closer to 25 dollars per person.

>>82177190
kek, american films now come out everywhere else first and only after we've all seen it, they stream to your iphones so you can watch it in the confines of your cuckshed. the trump presidency is really not changing anything so far.

>>82176807
>>82176807

Just watch the first one and determine that yourself.

we cant even leave our houses anymore to watch movies on release, risk getting killed by a mass shooter like the aurora theater guy xd

>>
>>82176807
Is a ok movie above the average flick but nothing really special.

The first one was overall much better while Vol.2 did 1 or 2 things better than the first one.

Go see it is just 9 pounds,
>>
You could stand to lose a few pounds. In fact go twice ya fat piece of shit.

Watched it yesterday and in my opinion it wasnt as good compared to the first one.
It felt like they jumped to one comedy sketch/quips to another instead to progress in the story and or character build up. The last act was also horribly stretch out.

7/10

It's fine. 7/10 space adventure

The ""jokes"" aren't funny unless you're a sitcom clapping american and nothing surprising happens. action's fun, story moves at good pace and characters are likeable.
>>
>>82176807
It's a solid flick to enjoy with group of friends, especially if you're a bit drunk.
>>
>>82178235
You know it's projected to take at least 500m dollars in the opening weekend right?
>>
Worth seeing in the cinema, but it's underwhelming. The jokes are pretty bad, the main villain kind of sucks, but the action is really well done.

It's a 7/10
>>
>>82178235
It won't flop man it as a great following after the first movie and is Marvel, everyone who hates and loves go see it.

OP here, just came home from the flick. It was a 6/10, same score as every other Marvel movie. Kurt Russell is my favourite actor so I'm glad I saw it.

It was mostly garbage, gave it a 6 because of the visuals and Drax. The jokes were honestly the worst I've ever seen in a film. We were supposed to laugh at people talking about Kurt Russell's penis.
>>
>>82183342
>>82183408
Agreed, the jokes and quips are shit and timed horribly. Even Yondu's death is made into a quip. Tbh the only good parts were Debicki being hot and Yondu's one man army scene
>>
>>82176807
well if you happen to like Drax, then prepare to be dissapointed
>>
>>82183632
Yondu was the only interesting character. Marvel only killed him off because otherwise there would be no emotion to the movie outside of 2 minutes of Ego-Quill potential that they ruined.
>>
>>82183702
Exactly, and even his death had to be quipped to death.
