This is the Stephen King's IT General

Started reading the book since there's a new movie coming out and I can't remember the original too well

>Mfw just got through that epic rock fight scene with Henry Bowers Gang and The Losers
Hope they give it justice in the movie
>>
>they wont include the turtle

why bother making this if so desu
>>
>>82159075
What do you mean by turtle?
>>
Any other parts of the book you guys want to see in the movie?
>>
You only think you like the book since you've invested so much time into it.

>All the 6 of you can do on your own is hash over some old times, and get yourselves killed. So I thought I'd head you off at the pass old Mikey. Head you off? Get it Mikey? Get it old pal? Get it you fucking scumbag NIGGER!?

What did Pennywise mean by this?

I can't remember the exact wordings but that was more of a "Maybe it crash landed here in ancient times" sort of thing.

Either way, it doesn't matter because even if that were true it got retconned. The creature in 'It' is the same breed as the shapechanging stand up comedian 'Dandelo' in The Dark Tower series.

I know King likes to stock his universe and that sounds cool because it kind of makes IT an aoex predator. But in IT, the creature goes on about how there was only IT and the turtle and how it was used to being alone until the losers came and it sensed an "other" hardly seems like the beast came from a space with giant elephantine tentacle beasts vampires and Dandelo.

Early King is based,he had no problem being devil may care with taboo and he wasn't PC at all. He would write actual racist characters and not devote paragraphs to how bad they were or how regrettable it was that he did it,he just did it nd everyone knew the racist prick was a prick.I still appreciate all the fairly directed criticism towards harping females in books like The Shining

Regulators is a meme version of desperation
>>
>>82172652

It's a metaphysical realm. When Bill fights IT his mind leaves his body and the fight takes place in a non-physical realm which would destroy Bill's mind and soul.

IT has a physical form which does need to eat but really it exists in the ether and feeds on the souls.

Is there hope that this novel could be made into a say 16 episode tv show? The book has tons of historical moments of the town, LOTS of backstories. They could easily do a tv show.

The mini series also had a dvd release which is where it was edited into a movie. the mini series is slightly longer.

So what that anon is referring to: he wants to watch the ORIGINAL broadcast version of the mini series from the 90's and not the dvd movie version.

I too have been trying to track this down but can't
>>

I guess.
It was only a 2part miniseries, and combined into one 3-hour feature on DVD.
>>

Actually I saw the Desperation movie first, then the book, then The Regulators. And yeah I do seem to be the minority, it was just a much more different concept while Desperation was too similar to The Shining to me.

I spent $50 for the 7th season of Waterloo Road after watching 240p rips of the broadcasted season online and guess what... so many scenes are missing, the music has been changed due to copyright (for some reason they had to change the music when putting on a dvd release).

Talk about how fucking annoyed this makes me and yeah it does say on the back cover that "music and original running time differs from broadcast version".

This new Pennywise has to be the scariest movie monster we've seen in years. Literally years. There's two scenes in this movie that absolutely sent shivers down my spine. First when Pennywise possesses the slideshow and we finally get to see his very creepy and mental face in the final scene. What a build-up! I nearly pissed myself.

The other one is in the basement, first we see the excellent performance by Georgie's actor. You'll float too never has sounded more epically scary. And then Pennywise rises from the waters. I jumped in my chair and still do when watching this. I can tell I will be on the edge of my seat in theatres this september.
