How will Marvel ever recover?
>not as fresh as the original
This is such a meme among critics. What was even fresh about the original?

I honestly went to the first one hoping it'd be funny and entertaining. It was strangely very dull despite an attempt to make an off beat joke every other minute.
Right now, Thor new movie is looking to deliver what this movie promises, just by even having the right director for such a tone.

It was a light hearted adventure comedy that didn't take itself too seriously and wasn't afraid to have a little fun and quip.

so every marvel film then
I saw the first GotG at the midnight showingt, and it was the first time in my life that an audience ruined my experience that had nothing to do with black people. They roared in applause and overdone laughter after every single quip. I don't usually mind seeing an audience vocally enjoy a movie, but this seemed so fucking forced. It was like they were all extras in a movie playing annoying audience members. There was one guy, I swear to god, who was dancing with baby groot along to the Jackson song. Like, with his hands above his head. He wasn't even retarded or anything (at least not in the literal sense) he was just a huge faggot.
