I liked his emotional scenes because they made sense. It's an easy thing to make fun of but; for a person of that age coming to grips with his power, his personal conflicting issues, the path he chose to follow. It would make less sense if he was well composed. But they fucked up everything by having him lose to a scrap yard dweller because of a scratch.

Let's make scenarios; what would make up for him losing ? Is Rey his sister and he avoided killing her ?
