Notice that all 'dream' appearances of Saito feature him in the same clothes as the magazine picture, and with heavily accented poor English, while at the end, when he actually appears, he's dressed differently and speaks with a British accent.

Surely this is a thing in that universe. Ratings based on sexual experiences. If so, she could climb into a comfy 4.5 in a week just letting guys play with her ass. She'd get with 15 guys in that week and every one of them would rate her ass 5/5. But I guess she felt like she was classier than that, or the transactions get recorded so her employer would know how she was getting those ratings and give her shit for it.
>>
>>82135482
did he actually jack off to kids or was it a fabrication

This show has a lot of interesting concepts. Too bad it is weighed down by the fact it has trouble writing an interesting female character. The prime ministers wife is a bitch who only cares about her families image and not the fact her husband had to publicly humiliate himself worldwide to save someones life. There is the slutty Paki reporter who gets shot by the cops by accident while interfering in the princesses investigation, after leaking the news worldwide. There are two episodes where the main problem is unfaithful wives lead to the demise of their husbands lives. There is the sociopathic soldier girl who is getting too much of a kick out of killing slavs. And then there is the virtual dikes where the woman disregards her husbands wishes to play vice city with the lanky paraplegic. overall 7/10
>>
>>82135487

So perhaps you can say she did deserve it, if only because she was freed of the social media prison she was stuck in the whole episode. She struck me as someone that is nice and considerate at heart, but had been twisted into the uppity bitch we saw.

No. They wiped her memory every day. She was basically a blank slate being continuously tortured without knowing why (until the end when it was over but they wiped her again) just so people can get their sick vengeance.
>>
>>82136421
Well personally i wouldn't really say it excuses him, but i can definitely understand how and why it happened. He'd been cut off wrongfully and without reason for so long, he just wanted to talk and get some answers, yet the dad acted extremely hostile towards him, again, for no real reason. He just got pissed off in the moment which is understandable. Doesn't excuse him for actually hitting the guy though.
>>
>>82136297
Are you dense? If he knew the child wasn't his from the start or at least when the kid was like a couple years old he wouldn't even had been there in the first place. Thus, granddaddy wouldn't get killed and China daughter would be cozy having a nice christmas.

That was her whore's daughter ex husband she left without any explanation while pregnant with a baby he thought was his.
And don't use words as cuck unless you are a stupid woman.
>>
>>82136646
But he wasn't a strange man, the grandfather knew exactly who he was because he's been to that house and met him many times during his relationship with the cunt. It was never specified but i'm pretty sure the grandfather knew the entire situation too, i'm sure he was told that this kid is from someone else which is why she broke up with the guy and cut him off.
>>
>>82136437
Maybe the first time so she could learn what a piece of shit she was, but them repeating it over and over was a bit excessive.
>>
>>82136741
The father never liked him at all - the man even admitted that the father hated him and never found him trust worthy. It had also been 6 years since he saw him and he has had no contact with him at all.

>>
>>82136797
The cop's way of treating the cookie was completely petty and pointless. It was innocent and even HELPED them but they decide to "torture" it even though they're going to wipe its memory in a few days. Just showed how petty those cops were but that point was already reached when they practically gave the peeping tom a death sentence
>>

He was relatable before the CP showed up. It kinda pissed me off that Black Mirror decided to buy into the classic "weird anxious autist who can't socialize is a pedo lolololol" stigma. They should've kept it at normal porn or maybe hentai and made him too awkward to stop and easily manipulated.

It's not THAT bad, but it's just one of the least interesting episodes. It's basic premise is not only too obvious to be effective satire, it's also too obnoxious to be engaging.

The basic premise that "durr politics is just people putting on a show, and everything is run from behind the scene" might make for a good freshman poli-sci discussion, hell it it's kinda true, but it's not particularly good television.

Then it did a shit job since all the pedos in the episode were criminals who were watching/in possession of child porn. If they wanted people to think that they should have made the kid not a horrible pedo monster who whacked off to little kids.
>>
>>82137210
I think its like 1.8 million years before they would come back to the office, right?

That's pretty harsh. Outside of the cookie stuff I can't think of anyone who got off worse in Black Mirror. Even White Bear girl will die eventually.
>>
>>82137230
Which is what I said here >>82136924

The others had regular dirt on them, but making the protaganist a pedo killed his relatability with normies, and even most weirdos won't go that far with empathy.
Black Mirror undermined its message for a le shock n horror ending
>>
>>82137260
You have to remember the cookie is an animate object which will eventually get erased because it's just 1s and 0s. It showed how petty and cruel the cops were but ultimately it's just a program. White Bear girl is probably the worst punishment because she's "innocent" due to mind erasing so for the majority of the day she has no idea why she's getting punished and even after they tell her it's not like SHE did it because they erased her mind. The peeping tom also get a shitty deal because the only way he can survive is to go live like a hermit off the land for the rest of his life
>>
>>82137191
Are you sure about that? Considering drumpf is the most hated man in the world, he would be the first victim followed by every dumb frogposter.
>>
>>82137346
>the cookie is an animate object which will eventually get erased because it's just 1s and 0s.
No, the ones that go crazy get sold to be NPCs on The Witcher 6 or some shit.

Typical American. Never listens . He deserved it all

Yeah, but it was still considered a good ending because she said what she wanted to
>>
>>82136982
I wouldn't have a stranger in my house because I would've made sure that my daughter told the dude the truth about the kid. Then he would be done with our family entirely. Then we'd have a great christmas.
>>
>>82137260
>I think its like 1.8 million years before they would come back to the office, right?
Probably. They left the timer going 'til Christmas, but who knows if they'd even shut the damn thing off afterwards. Being a cookie SUCKS. :^(
>>
>>82137509
It honestly just seems wildy irresponsible that they gave the cookies some form of sentience when the job could've been performed by a simple algorithm. They didn't need "free will" to adjust temperatures, make coffee, and organize emails.
>>
>>82137506
Answer his question, fuckass.

Doesn't make him wrong.

>It honestly just seems wildy irresponsible that they gave the cookies some form of sentience
I found that kinda' odd too, though maybe in that universe cookies could be used as friend simulators, entertainment, etc. and the later on the business started making "questionable" tactics to get more use out of them.
Similar to what >>82137346 said with them being treated as programs rather than an actual human.

Perhaps you could enjoy fiction better if you'd appreciate characters for how well they fulfill their purpose on the narrative rather than for waifu potential. Most BM characters aren't supposed to be likable, male or female. It's also funny that some of the most annoying female characters are actually doing things that are more typical of men. The annoying wife on the pilot, for instance: her partner is essentially being raped and all she really cares about is what people will think of the two of them.
>>
Fuck the prime ministers wife. What a fucking bitch. He was essentially raped and now she blames him for it because "muh family dignity". Never have I been so mad at a character before.

They dont deserve to die. However its important to remember people still have responsibilities. Anonymity/the internet makes people less inclined to behave well as there are almost no consequences for what they do/say.

Then again, how are we gonna get those epic may-mays otherwise.
>>
>>82138515
Maybe for you. For normal people we don't immediately jump to that fucked up conclusion, it just looked like the kid being helpful and friendly to the customers.

I feel like it's the episode that ticks all the checkbox black mirror wanted to present. That's why i'm confused why National Anthem is the first episode instead of it.
