I've been cringing every time I hear someone call this show "timely" since women have more rights now then ever before, and they are even starting to subvert men, but somehow we are apparently on the verge of enslaving them? Pure feminist propaganda.

The book is pretty overwrought politically but I like it as simple sci-fi. I think she does a good job of describing a fictional world. I know I'm supposed to be freaked by the christfaggotry and knee dampness but reading about Ofglen's calm & regimented world soothed my autism. She really should have left the bullshit academic conference at the end out though, an ambiguous end would be better.

I like Moss and her walleyed charms so I'll give it a watch. Felt a bit burned by TMITHC so hopefully it's a better adaptation.
