Watched this last night, I really liked it. No cheap scares and it was genuinely disturbing.
What did you guys think?
worst Ti West film
>>82101840
it was "okay"
could've been better
>>82101872
And considering how bad the rest of his movies are, that's saying something.
I would rather just watch a documentary about Jonestown teebeehaich
>>82102857
This, honestly the real story is even crazier than this low-effort knock-off.
>>82101872
i was really disappointed with The Innkeepers
>>82103764
Yeah, just pull up the death tape from the last day on youtube and read up on those fuckers towards the end. It's horrifying.
>>82103804
I heard The Innkeepers was great but the quirkiness of the main girl turned me off so hard that I couldn't make it more than like 35 minutes.

Wow, is there any movie /tv/ does not hate? I really liked "The Sacrament". Genuine, well acted, really disturbing "found footage". Only Wests "House of the Devil" worked even better.

If that's how you feel about the first act you really owe it to yourself to finish it

>tell people straight to their face they should commit suicide
>they do it
this must be the ultimate sadist fantasy or something.

>no way for a socialist communist to die
and nothing of value was lost
feel bad about the kids though
>>82106485
That was a huge red flag for me when I saw the opening credits but thankfully it turned out to actually be a good movie.
I thought it was being set up soFather gave everyone the potion so he could just take all the leftover money with no witnesses and start anew scamming folks somewhere
I think it would have been a slightly more interesting dynamic.
>>82107516
Sure, but the Jonestown massacre didn't happen like that
I love found footage and still think it was really awful.
>>82107599
For me, it was really saved by the scenes of the poisoning. I thought it was really brutal 2bh, and appreciated it for being effective without any supernatural elements. Don't see that often in found footage.

>Wow, is there any movie /tv/ does not hate?
Fucking seriously ? The question should be: is there any shit movie people won't shamelessly shill for ?
Sacrament and House of the devil were dogshit. Not even pretentious, "you don't get it", artistic dogshit. Straight up mediocre, "give me my time back" dogshit.
