Why did the Dopey Sticker disappear in The Shining?
Post other interesting stuff
>>82063008
Don't forget the deep meaning behind the helicopter shadow
>>82063008
the dopey sticker disappearing proves to us that the moon landing was faked, and with it Kubrick was predicting his own assassination (or "disappearance") two decades later for revealing this to us, sheeple
BRAVO KUBRICK
the native american on the soup can represents the genocide of the indians you idiots. WAKE UP
>>82063164
I think that's the camera helicopter. It could also be symbolic of a negative force following them to the castle
>>82063509
>I think that's the camera helicopter
Woah this guy knows his shit.
>>82063164
It's not in original version.
>>82063008
I thought the inconsistencies were their to make the viewer feel awkward
>>82063008
>tfw the Goofy point
>>82063509
>I think that's the camera helicopter
why is there a handprint on her butt?
>>82065868
Is the incompetence of your grammar there to make me feel awkward?
>>82063509
>I think that's the camera helicopter
>>82063509
>castle
It's the Labyrinth because of the ski poster that's really a Minotaur.
There are pizzagate-style pedo spirals throughout True Detective, here's a few but there are more
>>82066664
Another. There are more throughout the show
>>82063164
The crazy thing is that you could recreate this shot today with a $500 drone.
>>82066692
No shit.
>>82066772
No you couldn't.
You need to carry more weight than a $500 drone can carry for the camera, and some good stabilization stuff.
>>82066664
>>82066692
the first season was about pedophilia and important people having ritual sex with kids, of course its going to have pedophilic symbolism retard
>>82066939
I found it interesting that they included them before the symbols were so widely known like they are after pizzagate
The producers denied they had any significance when people were asking what they were when it first aired
>>82066664
>>82066692
Are there any more though?
post stuff from any movie/show. here is another shining oddity
>>82067064
I remember seeing it drawn on some kids room wall. I think there were more but have forgotten where
>>82063164
>that opening music
Fucking creepy af
>>82066089
>shifts focus to himself in the mirror
Classic Kubrick
>>82067148
They literally moved the camera for the shot they wanted. Is this so hard?
>>82063008
The scene on the right was shot before the scene on the left. When zooming in Kubrick felt the door had too much negative space so he asked props to add another sticker. Kubrick was meticulous and had an eye for detail but he wasn't writing messages to neckbeards on 4chan in 2017.
>>82066089
Jack reminds me of Walton Goggins here
>>82067202
are you really that dumb/blind?
>>82067202
Kubrick doesn't do shit like that on accident, mang.
Reminder that Danny is constantly framed with bears throughout the movie as a visual representation of his abuse by Jack. It all culminates with pic related where Wendy finally rids herself of her mental block to see what's been going on.
>>82067229
nah he's right. also this goofy comparison is also on-purpose. altho the text may or may not be correct
fucking Kubrick man
>>82067295
>ywn have a bear give you a blowey jowey
y live?
>>82067295
I wonder why Kubrick kept this aspect of the book (albeit one shot). There is a Eyes Wide Shut similarity in the book with a masked ball.
This thread is creeping me out
>>82067286
Yeah but it isn't to debunk the moon landing or anything else like that. In The Shining he intentionally put in all the subtle mistakes to create the atmosphere. The only thing about Room 237 that had any decent context was the stuff about the advertising book.
>>82066879
In my little town there's at least 2 photographers who do aerial drone shooting
>>82067028
>The producers denied they had any significance when people were asking what they were when it first aired
No shit. They probably wanted to avoid having "suicides" and "accidents".
Its pretty clear where pizzolato was going with this show, before they made him removed the "occult politcians murder and fuck children" thing in season 2
>>82067317
>>82063008
The goofy clown is the imaginary friend that danny has
>>82066292
Oh god
>>82066292
Movie sucks compared to the book and is easily Kubrick's worst film. I'll never understand why it's so praised.
>>82067711
Youmight be right. He had more than enough pedo backstory to include in s2. Even a brief mention would have been good
>>82067894
movies are incomparable to books, it's better than the other shining adaptation though by so much.
>>82066772
Camera drones are truly the winged Jew
>>82067894
>Movie sucks compared to the boo
DUDE HEDGEMAZES LMAO
>>82067189
That music is also thematically relevant to the story
I think it's about a guy who kills his lover in a fit of passion and is then hounded by horrible spirits and demons
>>82063164
>dragonfly close to the lens
>helicopter shadow
lmao get your eyes checked fag
>>82067598
>Room 237
237,XXX is actually the mean distance of the moon when factoring the closest and furthest distance during the moon-landing of Apollo 11
https://www.timeanddate.com/astronomy/moon/distance.html?year=1969&n=179
you can do the math yourself.
>>82067168
The character in episode 7 is mowing in a large spiral. Could be a coincidence, but could also symbolize their placement above the circle of time
>>82067953
They don't have wings tho
Here's where things get really scary
also am i missing anything?
>>82067910
>Youmight be right. He had more than enough pedo backstory to include in s2. Even a brief mention would have been good
The entire "creepy hippies rape children in their cult" thing in season 2 kinda went nowhere
>>82068176
>>82066528
Try to avoid using the passive voice when more natural-sounding alternatives exist
>its a misinterpreting every day continuity errors as deep and meaningful episode
WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN?
>>82067635
With cinema quality cameras? If so, they spent more than $500 on their drones.
>>82068650
You'll spend 5 times that on lenses but a $500 drone maybe could carry that. Probly more like $3k.
>>82066772
It would look like shit unless you shot it with film though
>>82068674
If you're using a sony mirrorless or w/e the hacks on /p/ all use, yeah you could do it.
If you used an actual video camera body, probably not.
I've never watched The Shining.
>>82068714
Umm okay sweetie, you can stop replying to me now
>>82068714
The camera body isn't as important as the lenses and they're also 99% of the weight.
>>82068176
Retarded. That's how lower case L's looked on typewriters.
>>82066292
Did kubrick imply rape?
>>82068765
It's important if you're shooting a movie to be shown in cinemas.
You couldn't mount a cine body to a $500 drone. Actually, you couldn't mount much more to a gopro to one.
>>82068759
suck my dick
>>82068833
Thats enough sweetie you're embarrassing yourself
>>82068852
I shit in your sweeties.
>>82067894
if you want to talk about shitty book adaptations, Eyes Wide Shut is probably the best exampleand also his worst film
>>82068833
Not really, I mean your average consumer tier DSLR/MILR is shit but RED stuff is 100% scam. There's intermediate-tier sensors which are perfectly fine.
>>82067295
What other times was he framed with bears?
>>82068886
There are other video cameras than RED stuff. But you can't get a DSLR on a $500 drone anyway.
>>82068948
Yeah, not with decent enough lenses to matter. I did bump my estimate up to a $3k~ drone.
>>82068885
That's a terrible opinion. Eyes Wide Shut is fantastic and honestly underrated. The cases of which the book was superior were arguably A Clockwork Orange and objectively Lolita. Every other adaptation he made is better than the book.
>>82068977
Oh. Yeah you did.
Yeah a 3K drone could do that. Excuse me.
>>82067295
Anyone have the bane and cia edit?
>>82068985
The flashback scenes were so incredibly forced in and very very subpar for Kubrick or anyone of his caliber. It made it so blatantly obvious that it was a book adaptation, even while I didn't even know that at the time of watching.
Perhaps I was biased by that, but I'd still argue it was a worse film than The Shining.
This guy has done a few Shining videos.
Basically the whole layout of the hotel is illogical on purpose and they do reverses during shot changes to fuck with the viewer. Good shit.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0sUIxXCCFWw
The biggest one he doesn't mention though that on the exterior shot from the birds eye perspective of the hotel, there is no maze at all.
>>82063008
why did a window turn into a shower?
>>82069428
His Shining gold theory is pure autism.
>>82069647
gold theory/A11 tied together and is the point of the film.
>>82067981
Moving Hedge monsters were dumb as hell and unscary
>>82063008
>Why did the Dopey Sticker disappear in The Shining?
Shelly considered it an offensive mockery of her own dopey face.
>>82069671
I like your videos lad. Those ones are just a bit autistic.
