Reminder there was supposed to be a Young Homer Simpson spinoff series that would have segments of Homer and the town of Springfield throught the years. This was of course decades ago when they would've followed Springfield in the 60's, 70's and 80's. If it were made today it would be following the 80's, 90's and 2000's.

The thing is network shows are always the same bullshit sitcoms and spinoffs that we have seen 1000x over. The days of Network TV actually having compelling shows like LOST are long over, and I would argue that a show like that was a complete fluke to even exist in the first place. It's so strange especially considering the renaissance that tv as a medium is having right now. The large Networks are still stuck in this old mindset of just mass producing a bunch of garbage to see what sticks, instead of focusing on producing fewer, high-quality tv series.
