Amazing. Without a doubt, Burton's best movie. None of his usual conventions are used anywhere in the movie. The soundtrack is great too, filled with that kitschy forties/fifties sci-fi sorta stuff. Heavy on the theremin.

Dude was both crazy and devoid of talent but it's still kind of admirable he charged ahead and didn't compromise or give up on his dream of making movies even though common sense should've stopped him.
Basically Tommy Wiseu is his modern successor.
