I tried reading the books, expecting some epic western fantasy adventure, but after about 100 pages it turns into a story about a kid getting hit by a car and some dude smugling shit on a plane and the main character were somehow controlling this person and the adventure was discared for some commentary on bubblegum on pavements in new york.

Is it worth plowing through?
