Wasn't Sulu's daughter in one of the movies? I remember her being a helmsman, and Kirk feeling old. So they destroyed that girl too with this forced political agenda. I mean I guess sulu could adopt her but she wouldn't really be his daughter then.

Regardless, by this time if homosexuality is genetic as most people argue by 2400 we will have the ability to choose if someone has the sequence for it prenatally. And no one is going to choose to make their kids gay because that means no grandchildren, which biologically speaking is the entire point of the enterprise.
