I respect Cameron for taking his time in order to guarantee the best possible result. He could have shat out the sequels 2011, 2013, 2015 etc but he invested so much time and care and thoughts and creativity into this because he wants the Avatar universe to be great. To be fantastic. He is planning and creating everything. He is creating a world, alien animals, characters, plot lines, story arcs, tech, vehicles and aircraft, sci-fi stuff, weapons, action scenes. To me, what's interesting about the series is how the society was built once they became intelligent, not the generic zombie movie accident that started it all.
