Letterboxd is a site like IMDb where you log what movies you watch and write reviews.
These threads originally existed as a way to give out invites to people when the site was invite-only.The threads served a purpose.
After they opened the site, these threads started becoming cancer, and they eventually died out completely until two faggots used them to shill their shitty short films, HentaiCop and Healey. That's around the time when people completely dropped the pretense of these threads being anything but about film discussion.
