In the book, Nedry is blinded in the same way, but then it goes on to describe that he feels a sharp pain in his stomach, goes to feel it with his hand, and realises that his guts are falling out into his hands. Then it describes him feeling the Dilophosaurus's jaws as it puts his head in its mouth, and it mentions something about how he wishes it will be over soon.

One bit that I'm undecided on whether it's realistic behavior or is too dumb for the raptors as established is the moment of absolute stupidity by the final raptor when it makes a suicidal attack on the Rex that just broke its fellow raptor in two in about three seconds. I guess it's never seen a Rex before and lacks logic but it barely inflicts a few scratches before the Rex one-shots it so I feel like it would have run away instead of sprinting right into certain death.
But hey, the book makes it clear these raptors came out wrong and that they're basically all insane so I guess their violent aggression overrides everything.
