I mean, does it hold up if you're not watching it to appreciate something about film making or want more film history IQ? No, not really.

But it's a grand sweeping epic of a film - the last of its kind in cinema probably ever, honestly. And there's something special about films like this and Ben Hur and Gone With The Wind.
It's also a a product of a true master of the medium and exceedingly pretty to look at if you get a HQ print/version etc.

But you're not going to be entertained per se and it's a long 3 hours because you're just going to sit there and take it in.

Agreed. I did this yesterday and found something to laugh at in literally every frame. Took me nearly 4 hours because I was constantly pausing to more carefully examine some massive failure and I had to rewind a few seconds every minute or so because I would miss dialogue due to my laughter.
