Their idea of joke structure must be different too, I've tried watching famous black stand-up (Chris Rock, Eddie Murphy, Richard Pryor, Patrice O'Neil, and most recently Dave Chappel's two new specials) It fucking sucks and not funny at all and nothing they say is even remotely relateable, but the black people in the crowd seem to eat it up and have the time of their lives.
