White girl and her family: Black people
Black man: White Nationalist

As a musical.
they tried reversing it with a white guy meeting black parents. it was kinda meh.
Sidney Poitier made an entire career out of being "the good one" in liberal message movies. His movies were not really that good they just were about lefty things that were important in the 1960s and they were not to in your face so they were popular critically and at the box office.
It also helped that Poitier was a nice guy and well spoken and well dressed. She wasn't inviting Sam "Motherfucker" Jackson to dinner as her date.

Girl bringing a /tv/ autist to dinner

Uh Op they did

That actually would make potentially interesting movie. Your 18-21 year old daughter brings in a 68 year old black man as her husband.
If you are kidnapped by AntiFa and they hold up their smelly armpits next to your nose and make you pick a Sidney Poitier movie to watch pick:
>Blackboard Jungle
Lillies of the Field is also OK.
Will Smith tried to take Sidney Poitier type roles in the last 10 years but they were wildly unsuccessful or SUPER cheesy (Pursuit of Happyness, etc) and now he just flexes and postures in bad action movies again.
Eskimo bringing his Polynesian girlfriend to meet his two moms.
BLACK PEOPLE KISSING WHITE PEOPLE WHAT IN TAR NATION

Japanese remake where the daughter is a lesbian, and her significant other is a Korean. Think about it.

Was he the Idris Elba of his day?
>>81837761
nope, Elba is an action movie star.
He'd be more like Wayne Brady someone who is inoffensive to whites.
>>81837761
Nope, Idris takes far too edgy roles. There really isn't a modern equivalent unless you go into strictly comedy territory.
