I reccomend the Blacklist or Breaking Bad if you don't like Mad Men...it's more appropriate it for your attention span.

one of my favourite shows but the first season is notoriously slow. Although I feel its easier to get through than Mad Men because you know/feel that its building up to something much bigger.

Good show, Spader is amazing but I feel its a more of a light watch with each episode being more or less separate.
