When you already have many tens of thousands of mile long Star Destroyers I don't think one or two Super Star Destroyers is that big of a deal.

IDK, maybe psychological warfare is a lot more valued by the Empire, because you are right in that it doesn't make sense to build such fuckhuge ships when you have no enemy capable of matching your baseline Star Destroyers punch for punch.

Then again, the clone army was developed out of fucking nowhere and dominated the galaxy. Maybe the Empire is afraid there are some cloners or droid manufacturers in some remote corner of the galaxy silently building up a fuckhuge navy.

If you have the engineer capability to build a DeathStar, then you could easily be able to build a ship of that size without the mentioned issues.... the funniest thing is the Bridge windows, only because it seems like it could be a somewhat plausible oversight in the design process, or a deliberate choice for whatever reason.
