Honest question, were Johnny Horne and Laura fucking during her tutoring sessions? Is that why he's so depressed when she stops showing up?

Pretty sure he's just retarded, Anon. There was a scene never filmed with Johnny's birthday in the Fire Walk With Me script, but Richard Beymer didn't want to do the movie since his only other scene is him having Laura kiss him in order to receive some cocaine.
i really hope the revival is good. the enormous cast doesn't bode well, just seems like a revolving door of cameos for the sake of people being in it. they better go right back into the black lodge plot where the show left off.

Well it is eighteen hour-long episodes (and I think the first episode is two hours), and the main plots of the first two seasons (Laura mystery and Windom Earle) are resolved, so it's not merely a matter of tying up loose ends. I'd say a lot of the new cast will be children of established characters. The Giant's actor is back, as is Ray Wise, and they'll probably only be appearing in Lodge-related stuff.
We do know that Laura's story plays into the show in a significant way. Obviously Sheryl Lee, Grace Zabriskie, and Ray Wise (playing BOB?) are back. Lynch stated that stuff from Fire Walk With Me will play into the new miniseries, specifically in relation to Laura. There was also filming done at the house used for Laura's house interior (and the exterior but only in the movie) where Kyle MacLachlan extends his hand to an apprehensive woman, and they slowly walk in through the front door.
And even with a rather large cast, Twin Peaks was consistently good when Lynch was involved. He is directing and co-writing the whole thing, so either he's lying and setting up further seasons or he felt the new cast were necessary to tell their own story and conclude the series, and I'm inclined to trust his judgement.
