So after all these years, who really had the best card?
>>
>phone numbers on business cards
Get on my level, noob.
>>
I would gladly tell you but I need to return some tapes
>>
>>81717458
I think there's something missing here...
>>
>>81717458
Well, OP, I've given this question more serious consideration than half of the decisions that have actually affected my life.

I'm pretty sure Paul Allen has the nicest card.
>>
The one with dubs on it.
>>
>358 Exchange Place
That street isn't long enough, but if it was that'd be in the middle of the Hudson River.
>>
Timothy has the most aesthetically pleasing card.
>>
>>81717458
Tasteful thickness
>>
>>81717860
I agree

its pretty clear which one was the best
>>

>head good goy
>>
>>81717458
>Bryce
>Uninteresting and plain sans-serif font
>Texture that makes it look like it's gone through the washing machine in someone's pocket
>Boring same-sized lettering on most of the card

>Van Patten
>Overbearing bold font for the name that just screams "I want to be important"
>Spacing and sizing for phone number and company name is all fucked up, makes the card visually unbalanced
>Same awful texture

>Paul Allen
>Address looks terrible separated onto two lines
>Every letter has the same weight, viewer's gaze is not naturally drawn to any one part
>Shit kerning
>Flat font

>Patrick Bateman
>Absolutely patrician font choice
>Sizing of every letter is carefully considered
>Emphasis placed where needed
>Silky smooth texture
>Everything looks engraved into the card instead of just printed on it, giving it a more professional feel rather than a cheap one

It's not even a contest.
>>
Paul Allen really did have the best card
>>
I what to know what pens these men used.

Any Mont Blanc, and they're out.

my thoughts as well
>>
>>81717458
You really can't know unless you hold them. The film says nothing about their weight, and only a little about the texture of the cards.
>>
>>81717458
David
>>
>>81718041
You are not meant to like bateman's.

My vote is bryce.
>>
>>81717458
I don't know but I have the best repeating digits, that's for sure.
>>
Pretty sure the scene was supposed to be funny because each card has basically the same info, are all white with black font, and to someone not autistic the differences don't matter.

It's also a subtle visual cue that underscores the constant identity confusion between characters.

This one easily.
You can tell he's all about money.
Green like cash and gold like, well Gold.
>>
>>81718348
Green for the money, gold for the honey.

>>81718348

Gaudy as fuck. Maybe he's good at his job, but he's a terrible person.

Paul Allen's card is clearly the best of the bunch. Bateman's, while passable, falls short of Allen's in terms of color ("bone," or any off-white, tends to leave things looking smoke-stained) as well as typeface (the latter's is clean and unembellished, while Bateman's is, frankly, testing the limits of good taste).
Also,
>falling for the texture meme

Allen > Bateman > Bryce > Van Patten
>>
>>81717458
>Patrick and David play it safe with a serif font
>Timothy goes full retard and use a sans-serif in a work like that
>Paul doesn't want to see too traditional or modern, so he goes with something in between.

I'll be jealous of Paul too.
>>
>>81718534
>>81718542

It really is very obvious.
>>
>>81717458
Unironically Paul Allen by far. What the fuck were the rest of those idiots thinking?
>>
>>81718542

I work in investment banking - no one uses serif fonts. Looks unprofessional

You guys took the memes too far. Do you also see colored cards?

I feel stupid realizing this now. But why do they all say Vice President?

Who ended up as the real vice president

Best business card right here.
>>
Paul Allen objectively had the best card. If you know anything about aesthetics it's an open-and-shut case.
>>
>>81718876
Because they are all interchangeable as people
Its a major theme in the novel and in the movie that the main characters are superficial and don't know people on any deep level

Am I the only one who prefers Van Patten's card?
I like the font a lot
>>
>>81717458

Paul Allen's looks the most professional.
>>
>>81719560
>Bold
>First name is capitalized
2/10 because it didn't make any spelling mistakes.
>>
>>81719560
It's the real best card in the group.
The rest are bad (with bateman's being the worse)
/tv/ are just being faggots again with their opinions
>>
>>81717458

Allen > Bateman > Van Patten > Bryce
>>
>>81718876
>>81718993

No... Vice President is a common mid-management title at an investment bank. Each group has anywhere from 2-6. It isn't like the Vice President of the United States you idiots
>>
>>81720606
Yes
But thats not why they are all Vice Presidents in the Film
>>
>>81717458
DUBSMAN, CUS THE EMBOSSING

THE FACT HE HAD THE BEST CARD BUT WAS SO INSECURE ABOUT IS THE POINT OF THE MOVIE
>>
I can't believe Bryce prefers Van Patten's dubs to mine
