I know I'm late but I haven't seen any threads on
La La Land on here, even after the Blu-ray dropped last week.
What was the general reaction of people on /tv/ to it? I liked it a lot desu, easily one of the best movies of 2016.

I feel like a piece of shit for watching it alone on my laptop. I should've seen it in a movie theater.
dishonest film
not our cup of tea
self absorbed hollywood
etc

I wanted to watch it in theaters, but none of my friends wanted to watch a musical and going to see a movie like la la land alone would be awkward as fuck.

Fuck you, that asshole is right. La La Land was tailor made to win a shit ton of awards. Dishonest.
I liked it a lot, and I was really surprised because I usually hate musicals and oscar bait
I loved it, can't wait to buy it. Going to show it to my fiance, since it really resonated with me. See how she feels
I fucking hate musicals and I loved it.
Songs weren't great
Story wasn't great
Ultimately forgettable
The movie was good but it wasn't something that really left a lasting impression on anyone.
