So, what was the moral of the story?
>>81710340
its socialist neorealist propaganda that paints the entire world as corrupt to suggest the the best way to act is the least worst way to act instead of actually acting virtuously
>>81710340
have a plan B
the moral of the story is that we need to bring back quaaludes
>>81710340
fbgm
>>81710340
You're just as bad as him and wish your life was as fun.
>>81710340
intelligent morally bankrupt people with money always get away
>>81710382
>implying the entire world isn't corrupt
>implying virtue isn't a an empty concept
get a load of this spook
>>81710340
Anyone who engages in Finance is a faggot
There's a kid who sits next to me in Financial Accounting and I know he's a Finance major because he won't shut the fuck up about his portfolio
>final scene literally turns the camera around to a full audience listening intently to the main character despite all he's done
I wonder...
>>81710340
Get money
See pussy
>>81710340
Be rich, be good looking, and fuck anybody you deem beneath you.

>>81710340
Dentistry school is for suckers
>>81710425
this
Money is a drug in that its psychologically addicting. Drug addicts will do anything for drugs.
That bachelor party tho
>>81710340
Shit like this happens.
>>81710340
Hedonism isn't happiness.
>>81711457
But is that FBI guy happy, either? At the end of the film, riding home in that subway, making 60 grand a year, married to some fat cow?
>>81710534
Hey now, accounting isn't that bad.
t. took a couple accounting courses at community college, got good grades and still don't understand anything about it
>>81711578
I know, I'm an Accounting Major
Accounting and Finance are two different fields though they have some shared courses
>>81711619
Ah gotcha
I'm doing a managerial accounting course right now but I don't feel like I'd ever really want to go into the field or become a CPA for that matter, mostly because of all the little details one needs to memorize.probably why I'm an idiotic mass communications major

Maybe, but he has purpose and through his will, power. And no matter how empty his life might look, both he and the OP guy are made of meat that will eventually go bad, and it seems like FBI would have an easier time accepting his place in the world than Wolfman would, who is like a child obsessed with toys and just smart enough and just dumb enough (in terms of not caring much for others and having basic desires) to succeed in this business.
Wolfman had so much money and so much power, but he didn't do anything valuable with it. He's like a retard that learned how to swing a pickaxe well and managed to strike gold, and then that's it. Didn't use the money to do anything or make anything, just started throwing it all away while disabling his own mind with endless amounts of drugs.
FBI is a real man who's doing real work and even if he isn't on top of the world, he's using his life to change the world in some meaningful way and all the while he can live as a regular guy. Wolfman does nothing, contributes nothing, loves no one and pretty much is nothing. FBI is a real human, Wolfman might as well be a well programmed toaster.
>>81710551
He was a best in the biz. People are going to listen, regardless of whether or not that best entailed good or bad. The best is the best.

>this beta coping
>>81710340
That North America is a terrible place characterized by disturbing, nearly demonic, greed that makes the acquiring of money, at whatever cost, the only thing that matters. That being a soulless fuck is seen as okay in North America provided you have millions in the bank. That all of this disgusting immorality looks seductive to us because we have been propagandized to the point that we only see bank accounts when we look at one another, judging one another based on the size of the account.
>>81712191
Being obsessed with money in the way the media told you to is possibly the most beta existence imaginable.
>>81710493
>spook
Back to /ledditypol/ with you.
I don't know, but I don't remember the order of most events in this film. I think that's sort of an accomplishment - showing that a drug-fueled life blends into one garish miasma.
