I thought it was dumb until I binged watched it all in one day and then it hit me right in the feels and I actually like it now

The episodes in the middle (One about the Asian kid and Marcus in particular) are boring and melodramatic as fuck. The beginning and end really sucked me in though, I'll admit it.

The suicide scene with Clay explaining everything cut in was absolute kino and so much better than everything else in the damn show. Acting in that scene really stood out, versus everything else in the show being kinda mediocre.

I liked it I guess, but only because it made me feel things.

My gf is watching this shitfest and here are some of the many many flaws I've noticed so far:
>le drinking is teh bad (even though the guy is like 25 in real life and 18 in the show)
>doesn't listen to tapes all the way through before running around town and shit
>nobody turns them in to police for whatever stupid fucking reason
>dialog is so painfully scripted more so than other teen angst shows (nobody talks the way these "kids" talk in real life)
>the protag rides around town on a bike like a child EVEN THOUGH HE'S FUCKING 30 YEARS OLD
What is the appeal of this show? I honestly don't get it. Are you guys just memers from reddit?
