Cole went out exactly as his character would have wanted. With a bang
John Goodman's character died as he lived: saying shit
Samuel L Jackson died fighting an enemy that never existed, as he had always done.
The hero lives and got the girl, but ultimately was still cucked by Kong
The only one with a happy ending was the "nice guy" air force pilot
it bothered me how a 200ft gorilla acted like a homosapien in combat

>The hero lives and got the girl
he didnt want her though, there was no romance implied (why would he desu)
also anyone else feel that Sam Jackson's character was a bit of a call back to the bad guy from King Kong lives

They said at the end they want to go home.
He literally just carried through the jungle to safety, and they are both good looking people. They were fucking after the credits rolled.

The scene of him returning home was the fantasy of an unsound mind. It never happened.

>gorilla acted like a homosapien in combat
>gorilla
That's your problem. King Kong(At least the one in Skull Island) isn't a Gorilla. Even if he was 6ft tall, his physiology is unlike a Gorilla's. His legs are too human, and he has no problem walking upright for extended periods of time. He is more akin to a missing link or a completely different species of primate that evolved separate from Gorillas millions of years ago. We don't know anything about his species or how it behaves. That could be how they fight or it could be how Kong specifically learned to fight to survive in the island.
Also, he is a 200ft Gorilla. There are some realistic aspects of it but you have to suspend your disbelief when talking about a creature that sheer size couldn't possibly exist today. So why couldn't it fight like a homo sapien?
