He gets high, goes into a police precinct, and tells them all about the secret gay club where the lizard people hang out. They arrest him for public intoxication, and a man he's never met before comes to bail him out. He's basically kidnapped and brought down to the secret colony of the lizard men, in the abandoned sewers & subway tunnels under the city, to serve them for the rest of his life while they plot their takeover.

The two of them, aided by a black homeless man must delve into the dens of organized crime above the streets, and the deadly hive below to save the city.

The people in the car don't believe him and react as though he's a murderer. We don't see what happens to the people of this car, but we do see the same man run to the next car, and try to warn its inhabitants of the coming monster. This car reacts differently, but once again we never see their ultimate fate, just the man moving to a new car trying to warn them, until the entire train is dead.

The American soldiers are irritable, seeing and hearing things, and fighting among themselves, and now there's a threat of Japanese invasion just on the other side of the door. But is it real? Or is it all in their heads?

Think Jacob's Ladder but confined to one room. Eventually one or more of the GIs could get out and find that it was all a dream, or it was all real, or even after they get out the reality is left up to interpretation.

A man works for a company from Harvard.
He makes it to the top then realizes that he is working for a family with trillions of dollars and are manipulating the world to their will with advanced technology. Controlling the world - they confess they are stirring up events in Syria to bring up the Antichrist - a religious/political person from all the countries horrors, they bring in their initiate after he confesses in an early one-on-one with the son of the family that he's a virgin. They take him to be sacrificed to Satan, he escapes as he warns a Police Officer. The Police Officer is shot down. Then the SWAT Team come in, the manipulate the event to bring in a gang of Latin Kings to the area as the Latin Kings and the NYPD shoot it out as the man escapes.

The man is then put on the FBI Most Wanted List by the powerful family..

Team of historians specialising in Norse history arrive in mining town to research rumours published by local historians about viking remains/iconography being found, to see if the vikings made it that far inland. Local historian/hobby astronomer volunteers to guide them through the woods after meeting them at 9am at a bus stop in front of a diner, in the morning on the day of their arrival. They agree and go, down the mines, thru the woods, etc. Most of movie is spent following the group as they document their research. One of the historians stops at the library out of curiosity and reads an old book about a meteor landing in the area 100 million years ago, but the local astronomer dismisses this (in an almost suspiciously hostile fashion). The historians take trips through the surrounding area to look at the scenery, finding the ruins of a tree with carvings on it in a proto-Norse language, slightly different to regular viking writing (detailing some kind of process that "keeps the land fresh and kind"), markings in the rocks of it being used as a longboat post, etc. they note stuff down, we get tangential character development, etc.

As the movie progresses, we realise that something is very wrong, both in terms of subtle, barely noticed differences (the water in the lake seems almost black at times, no birds chirping) to slightly overt, as a character points out a tree they went by on a trip to the forest seems to have been twisted and torn and overgrown, all in a matter of hours. The visiting historians find that there is something wrong with the passage of time as well, as their watches show day when it's night, the sun rises and sets quicker than usual, etc.

A Richard Simmons-style exercise video guides viewers through a series of aerobic exercises and calisthenics, set to pop music. It's bizarrely enjoyable, to the point of addictiveness, and the popularity spreads wildly.

The IRS audits the production company, suspecting fraud when their reported expenses are abnormally high. The main character is the IRS accountant placed in charge of the audit. It plays out like a conspiracy thriller as she deals with the weird, hostile people who work at the production company, and follows an elaborate trail of financing to find the reclusive Swedish billionaire who funds the video company.

Meanwhile, as the video sells more & more copies, the fabric of reality begins to distort & tear, random occurrences are reported worldwide where the laws of physics cease to apply. It's eventually revealed that the "exercise routine" is an ancient summoning ritual for an elemental Lovecraftian horror, which is beginning to wake up as millions of people unknowingly join in the ritual. When it awakens, it will devour all life on Earth, then go back into hibernation, allowing the whole process of evolution to restart on a clean slate. The Swedish billionaire believes this is the only way to save the planet from global warming. He's a George Soros type who has secretly manipulated politics from a distance for decades, but when all his efforts to stop pollution failed, this was his last resort.

Nobody believes the accountant, and she's too late to stop it from happening, anyway. Ends on a montage of happy fat people, sweating it to the Oldies and working out in front of their televisions, as the apocalypse begins outside.

The characters decide to go back to the town on this last trip, as they are getting worried, but find themselves getting lost as the distance between them and the village seems to increase. The local guide disappears after one of the historians hits him from panic, leaving a cut. One historian panics and tries to swim the lake, thinking he can reach the town that way, but begins thrashing struggling half way through and is pulled into the liquid.

The two others try and make their way back but one falls down a crag in the ground, the other runs a few meters to find some rope to get him back, comes back and sees just a pile of moss and dirt where his friend was lying, vaguely human shaped. He then runs off, panicked and crying, the camera unmoving as we hear him run into the distance. We are treated to a few shots of the locations they visited, still and unmoving, except like how they were when they first arrived. The camera then cuts to the historian, who is sitting down at a cafe, lacking any signs of his cut or anything like that. He sits and looks at the clock, showing 9am, then the bus stop, and the same people as at the start of the movie come out but no historians. He smiles and leaves the diner, as the camera pans up from the ground to show the town, forest, lakes, mountains, the whole area forming a spherical, island-like shape that slightly juts out the ground like it was placed there. The camera then pans silently to the stars of the sky as the credits play.

Atmosphere is slightly surreal and uncomfortable, especially for scenes in the woods. Shots of the group walking with only their feet being heard, no birds or anything. The water in the lakes is unusually dark, and the sky often lacks any clouds. Use of contrast between light and dark; lots of shots of characters in light (streetlamp, diner at night) surrounded by pitch black dark. Lots of moments where things are "off", as mentioned. Emphasis on large spaces, vistas of the valleys in the mountains, etc. Lots of imagery of a picturesque American town. The soundtrack is quite nostalgic sounding indie/alt rock.

I want Lynch to direct, Deakins to supervise, cast the guy from District 9 as the local guide, idgaf about others.

Four girls are friends, they accidentally trigger something spooky and weird shit starts happening to them. They wake up vomiting, one starts getting fat, one gets horrible headaches and is shaking all the time. One morning one of the girls wakes up and her room is covered in strange symbols. The main blonde thinks it's all a prank and keeps doing her thing, slutting it up, going to parties, etc. Things start getting darker, though, and eventually they all go to confront this spooky bullshit at a cave or something. Turns out the main girl was a ghost possessing the other three, all of their symptoms were side effects of her garbage lifestyle, and they all kill each other in the cave as they try to end her.

Flash forward to the three girl's funerals as we see, from the back, three dark-haired girls sitting and mourning. Flash to a front view of them, and now one's the blonde, The End.

Then as they fiddled with it, people randomly gets killed and they realise they accidentally activated an alien WMD where it opens tears into time/space until the entire radius is destroyed. Unthinkable things and creatures flow through and have a desire to reach the center of the device.

The people all try their best to figure out how to turn it off before they all die.

A group of surfers discover a hidden yet incredible surf break near a privately owned forest. While there, they have a chance encounter with an adult bigfoot. There is one I've wanted to do. It's like The Babadook.

It's about a woman who has moved over to Sydney, Bondi near the Beach. She's an American and heads to Hillsong.

She takes ecstacy one night and over the next six weeks, she begins to experience sleep paralysis, then ultimately has constant nightmares of 12ft tall demons looking over her every night, visions of Hell where she sees people with their heads blown off - trying to speak, it disturbs her greatly as her mental health begins to detoriate. Before this, she is very bubbly.

They see a Pastor and they pray, she says a demon walking behind the Pastor inside the Hillsong Cafeteria and freaks out.

Heads to the train station as she sees people looking at her, they come up to her and ask if she has ever tried jumping on to the tracks to stop a train with her hands? More people come, and more. She jumps on the tracks but is...

Saved.

She loses her leg, actually dies, goes to Hell for realzy then Heaven and sees Christ. Christ shows her the New Earth and Heaven and Christ is made of pure light, energy and love. Christ asks if she wants to come with him... Until Christ shows a vision of her mother in the States in New York.

After losing her leg, she heads back home and over the next 4 years, she begins to speak about her testimony.

I had this idea a while ago before I realized it was ripped almost wholesale from Deathgasm/Green Room

>A small-time death metal band, hours from a concert in the woods that could feasibly fling them into the mainstream spotlight, accidentally unleash a horrific being during rehearsals and have to find a way to kill it before the concert starts. In addition, they also accidentally cut power to the stage.

>As the clock ticks down and the concert draws near, the band realizes that the being can be seen only when there's a lot of sound around. This causes the being to lose its composure and go from being a silent assassin to a brutal, tree-destroying beast. However, it's also most vulnerable during this time.

I really want to play with sound editing and design on this. Put a little twist on the idea that silence in horror is deadly by integrating it into the plot.

A disease of unknown origin causes people to spontaneously combust. A city breaks down into riots as people explode violently into flames, with the movie focusing on a small group of survivors trying to escape the carnage. Starts out in the day time but quickly turns to night, where a blackout means that when you see the light of their flames, you run.

Some of the infected don't burst into flames right away, but instead smolder, and can suppress the symptoms by drinking an excessive amount of water. This leads to groups of infected survivors fighting for any source of water they can find. There's also an axe wielding firefighter who has lost his shit and is just executing anyone and everyone who may or may not be infected.

Its starts like your typical monster movie, where a bunch of young adults were camping away in remote wilderness where a local folktale monster are said to reside.
The kicker is, when the monster do attack in the middle of a huge storm, the characters managed to fight back, and, besides some inuries, they even managed to capture it.

What follows is the character fighting amongst themselves about what to do with the creature. One guy wants to kill it, but the others think its more provitable if they can haul it back to civilization and become famous. However, with the satelite phone destroyed in the attack, and the storm is disrupting the communication with the rest of the world, they are stuck there for indefinite amount of time.
It goes downhill when the most fatally inured guy is found dead. While naturally and logically their death can be attributed to the wounds, the somewhat peculiar nature about the death instead fuels the remaining survivor to start blaming and distrusting the others. Things escalate from there as everyone become more cornered and thinks that their way was the right one.

In the end, when there are only two character remains after the rest of them were killed off directly or indirectly in the ensuing the power struggle, one of them managed to release the monster from it leash.
The monster screams loudly before leaping towards the other guy...only to soar over them and runs off into the forest, seemingly scared. The one that release it panics as things did not go their way and chase after the monster in a frenzy. They unknowingly steps into a trap that the group had set beforehand, and dies.

The last survivor scans the carnage before him as he finally reflects on what had ust happened. With no proof and impending warrant for the crimes that had happened there, he then points the gun into his head as he laughs and understand that the humans are the real monsters all along.

I mean, I plan to play it out that the fear and paranoia about the monster and what the other are capable of doing are what breaks the group apart. (Maybe they arent that close friends to begin with?) and when the first bodies roll up they agree to swear together that the monster are the one that killed it. Now once you got the excuse going, whats the difference between one or two bodies? Its a monster, it supposed to be deadly.

Maybe the ending should be that the survivor escapes but ends up in prison or asylum due to his seemingly proofless story. Or maybe one of the parents of the deceased kids ends up paralyzing/fatally wounding him in a courtroom brawl.

A school group goes into a museum showcasing a mysterious large humanoid skeleton. The group becomes locked in overnight and the skeleton hunts them down, pulling off their flesh to create itself a family of animated skeletons.

The best one I've read that would actually make a decent horror story is about a woman who uses magic to pawn her extra calories off onto a perpetually thin woman. She gets to eat whatever she wants, and is thin and beautiful. The other woman exercises as much as she can, but no matter how much she works she keeps putting on weight.

One day, the original woman starts to notice that she's getting fatter. Turns out the other chick gave up, went full neet and turned into a complete pig. Now our protag is trying to find this woman to stop her before she becomes completely immobile
