Ok /tv/, which one is the true Star Kino?
I never loved Star Trek as much as I loved Star Wars as a kid but I think as a positive influence on me even when I wasn't much of a fan I think Star Trek just edges it out.
Here's an easy cop out answer. Star Trek TV is much better than Star Wars TV (who'da thought). Star Wars movies are much better than Star Trek movies. Even the best of them.

They're not really anything alike.

The comparison is stupid. One is a western/fantasy in space, the other is a sci-fi space opera.
That being said Star Trek is vastly superior.

star trek you silly willy
as if there was even a doubt

Shatner is monitoring this thread.
I always just wanted a crossover

I agree with this statement fully although star wars films are no peach they're better especially if pitting both reboots against each other

I wanted a crossover when I was 8 years old and Voyager was my favorite Trek.
>tfw no teamup of Voyager+Rebels versus Borg+Empire
Thank God. I had terrible taste when I was a kid.

Noice he's like our Brando

i like star wars but i appreciate star trek a whole lot more

Star Trek is about provoking the audience to think.
Star Wars is about provoking the audience to imagine.
Both are a bit deficient in the other's specialty.
Neither are particularly good at 'world-building' in the scifi/fantasy sense, but both do it to whatever degree is necessary for them to function.

i came here for a star trek V thread. surprised to find its actually star wars vs star trek
They really don't have anything in common aside from the word "Star" in the title.
Let's add Stargate and Battlestar while we're at it.
