I didn't watch that much of the show and I can still name 3 episodes that had stong anti-christian/atheist themes. The only episode I watched that didn't explicitly have a "god is not real" message was the cursed object shop one and even in that one Rick beat the shit out of a baptist at the end. There's definitely more but those are the ones I remember.

I watch it because some episodes have some really nice concepts
the battery episode was really well done and while the ending had that kind of reddit flavour edginess
It was logically what would happen and the don't make too big of a deal of it

On the other hand I don't like the sci-fi references like the Purge episode because it had almost no imagination behind it

I have mixed feelings about the space exploration aspect of the show
I don't like the planets where plants are called zorpyzorps or whatever and have no basis on the real world
But that planet made of corn was a good idea
People appreciated the gynantonix idea in HHGTG because it's very tangible
