A movie about showing Prophet Muhammad praying to Pagan Gods who he believes are the true Gods and then realizing he actually was tempted by Satan would stir up Muslims so much.

No way would this be made as Muslims would riot and the director and filmmakers would get death threats

Muslim extremists would attack the premiere of this if it was made into a movie, I guarantee it. Rushdie had a fatwa put on his head for writing the book. They'd probably put a fatwa on the director and actors too.

Even though the book is not that great, I'd still watch it in cinema and probably buy the bluray.
Hell, I'd even contribute to crowdfunding it if necessary.
