Which Tron is best Tron?

2 is a really good music video.

Legacy is a deceptively quiet, melancholy, modern myth—sold to the audience by Disney as a kid-safe action fest—where embittered son, who has abandoned all his family built, travels to the underworld to save his father. Though he seemingly fails, he returns from the darkness with a newfound understanding and love of his father, and chooses to continue his legacy.
The original is a somewhat boring CGI presentation that succeeded in continuing to push the industry forward.

the original, it has better subtext and Flynn actually achieves something

I loved the sequel in its own right. Legacy certainly wins on the grounds of visual spectacle, the way they modernized the design of the virtual world was handled really well I thought. Nothing looked out of place in the world they presented. Daft Punk really nailed the score too.
First one was an integral part of my childhood; I could quote so many of the scenes long before I knew what any of the words or concepts meant. It was a really good film, certainly great for its day.
Second was a worthy successor. The part where the kid runs off to find Zeus and Flynn finds out, and the music is steadily rising while he talks about how chaos is a good thing, it gets me every time. Must have watched that part a million times.

It's a good thing I 'got' both, otherwise I wouldn't be able to make a choice.

Legacy, obviously. The only reason anyone would say otherwise is childish nostalgia goggles or blatant retardation.

Sorry, I couldn't hear you from all the way up on your high horse

Legacy has daft punk, so that one wins.
Sorry Tron.
HERE WE STAND
WORLDS APART HEARTS BROKEN IN TWO
Both are good in their own ways, though I feel Legacy has a better overall story (not like that's hard) and better music.
