I caught some of Spiderman 2 recently, that scene in the OP. It was much, much better than I remember. Everything from the initial fight to Doc Ock to his efforts in saving the train to "Jesus he's just a kid!" to "You want Spiderman you'll have to go through me" was so utterly well-done. I can't remember a single modern superhero movie pulling off such gravitas and warmth.
