Yeah, every kid like this growing up that was coddled still lives at home with their parents and had to watch all of their friends graduate, leave town and forget about them. And what happens when the parents die?

I fit the bill for autism perfectly but I was never coddled, I was expected to do what everyone else it and find my own way. I'm far from happy but at least I live and work on my own at 24 instead of being a hopeless NEET. Most kids stop relating to and caring about disabled kid once they get older because they have to contend with their own issues and responsibilities, they don't want to spend any time with someone cosseting through their childhood 'cause their parents never learned how to deal with temper tantrums.

Seriously, autism awareness makes me so fucking angry. I'd say 95% of autists fully know when they're being rude, they just choose to do so because they refuse to do anything they don't want to do.
