DS9 is all form and no function. It's all so spread out. Why does the habitat ring need to be so far from the Promenade? Why are the docking pylons so far away? Why are they so fucking huge? Why are there only three spokes connecting the rings to the center?

It looks fucking beautiful, but it doesn't make a for a very functional design.

I'm the Starbase fag above, but even I know DS9 was designed as a prison ore processing facility. You want to be able to easily segment it with chokepoints and segregate the loading docks in case of riots.
