I prefer the new one. Stallone's Dredd, imo, is like a shittier Fifth Element. It's a fun movie and I watch it occasionally, but I just don't think it's good. It's tinny. And Rob Schneider is fucking awful in it.

They had a lot of money and most of 2000AD's own artists working on the 1995 film. For all its flaws it nails the look and feel of the comics HARD.

I'm not all that vested in Dredd as a franchise, but the Stallone movie is a big dumb action movie with a fun sci fi premise, and you can see most of the money on the screen. Also they got some legit actors like Sydow, das boot man with name I can never remember/spell, and Armand Assante hamming it up with muh ABC warrior.

Aside from meme bandwagon hate it's gained a cult following.
