I'm not even half way through the original series. Last episode i watched was Puma man and that's probably S5.

Puma man was probably one of the best colour episodes. Women of the prehistoric planet is by far the worst of them all so far.

Skipping through various episodes it doesn't seem too bad. The riffing is soo fast paced though.

They got the idea to use an actual writing staff, and increase the pace of riffing when they edited the best bits from KTMA in to a demo reel to sell the show to cable.

I just realized that since Shout! Factory owns the rights to distribute MST3K and the Gamera movies, it would be totally plausible for them to riff the Gamera movies that they didn't get the first time through (vs Viras, and vs Jiger).
