God yes. I'd say the first 3, maybe 4 seasons are the best

Boring cop drama #45 but this time with aliens n shiet so they don't have to bother with a story or complex antagonists.

The miniseries is frankly incoherent. The series' ongoing arc became a mess after season 4 or so, but there was a general certainty behind the gist of it (aside from a half-hearted "what if it's the military" when they realized they blew their load too soon in season 4). In fact, it's unambiguously spelled out to the audience in an objectively presented scene featuring the CSM and his fellow council members in I think season 3.

Trying to throw more wrinkles into it just felt stupid and insincere. Season 10 was pretty bad in general.
