kong skull island feels like just a regaular action movie, while 2005 tries so hard to be profound but its just an overblown excessive mess

in that sense, KSI at least never tries to be more than that, where as 2005 tries so hard to be something it can never be, plus it revealed the hackish ways of jackson before he would fuck up the hobbit
