She looks like Tarintino. Get some taste.
Since being pioneered by George A. Romero, modern conceptions of zombies have always just been an excuse to put the human condition under a microscope. The Walking Dead used them as an excuse to become Mad Max lite, explore our tribalistic and warlike tendencies, and question what it means to survive without becoming just another hungry animal with no higher purpose like the dead plaguing their world. In the case of the The Governor and The Wolves' walker trucks, and later The Whisperers, zombies also serve as an allegory for masses of "useful idiots" acting as impressionable cannon fodder who are easily manipulated into enacting the will of persuasive leaders. The Wolves even go as far as to use mass media (music) to lure the walkers into the trucks, and I'm pretty sure The Governor did the same to lure them into the pits for collection. One can read into that however they wish.
The show fumbles a lot with bad writing and melodrama filler, but I can appreciate what they're at least trying to do.
The zombie kill count for the recent finale was great, it was 1

It's funny how TWD is Romero's dream and mission, but since AMC allegedly fucked over his hack friend Darabont he hates it.

>trying to do
Pander and create pointless drama as basically any show that reaches high popularity..
>hey guys look Rick is definitely gonna die
>seriously there's no escape
>oh wait here comes the KANG that we showed like 20 minutes ago preparing for battle
Has there ever been a show with less tension? Also the show really needs to kill off like 90% of its cast and focus on the 5 or 6 characters that aren't terrible. Start with Rick's kid.
Zombies in this show have never been anything but a vehicle for soap opera conflicts and cheap drama.

There's never any tension in a show where the main character is at "risk", they wouldn't be the main character otherwise. I just wish they'd stop with the "nobody is safe" bullshit marketing because we all know that's never the case

I don't blame him for getting impatient with the show and writing it off as a soap opera early on when a lot of screen time was taken up by drama like Lori getting pissed off at Andrea for letting Beth try to kill herself or whatever, but he's also unnecessarily harsh on it when there's so much worse bogging down zombie media. To conservatively put The Walking Dead at the bottom of the remotely decent tier (but I think it deserves better than that) still puts it at the top of a mountain of garbage like Return of the Living Dead: Necropolis. I guess it's the squeaky wheel getting the grease while the rest aren't even worth talking about, because so much potential was squandered by behind-the-scenes drama, AMC ordering more episodes and lowering the budget each which results in a lot of filler, a revolving door of showrunners, etc. Shorter season orders like HBO probably would've made for a much better show.

but its true you fucking spastic
you can meme about it like a fucking redditor but even in the fucking comics the walking dead referred to the survivors
>>81438926
Every single zombie related piece of media gets derailed by muh human drama.
