I fucking hate this show and yet I can't stop watching.
I'm in the same boat as you. I think both characters are shitty and the plot lines don't realistically hold them accountable for their actions, but it still mixes in just the right amount of pathos to make it watchable.
We're pathetic, is what we really are. But that's not going to change any time soon.

I just hate the guy on the right, I don't mind the show. I never watched it though and see the guy for the first time.

That's how I felt about season 1. I watched the whole thing, but I really fucking hated it. I'm not going back for a second season.
I'd watch a show about the Aussie roommate and her fat boyfriend, but not these two. And holy shit, I thought Judd Apatow's "long improvised conversations about nothing" schtick wears really thin in a 2-hour movie. Over the course of a whole season of television, it's fucking torture. The only way to save this show, is to end it with an atomic bomb obliterating ALL of these shitty fake people.

Can anyone recommend any other shows with ugly hot chicks?

Let me guess, the left is the slutty roommate and the right is a militant lesbian in love with her roommate.

>that "it's so easy to get a job" scene

>becoming an extra because no one else will hire you

2 Broke Girls
I live in L.A. and this show is dead on as far as being realistic. Nearly everyone I know is somehow just like a character on this show.
No one's in a healthy relationship; many are chronically single; cheating while in a relationship is hugely rampant
Sex is often meaningless, and girls use it as a "bartering" tool all the time. Girls are always looking for sugar daddies, only now they call them "investors."
Everyone has mental or emotional problems to varying degrees
Everyone is on meds and/or doing drugs
Most people are narcissistic and selfish
No one loves their jobs; everyone is pretty much miserable when it comes to their work or the companies or people they work for
No one is happy
And real LOVE is practically non-existent

Kind of dropped it when that girl fucked her boss or whatever. I didn't want her to be a slut.
Anyways, I might pick it up again. Is there any progress in the show? Will the two main character realize they're perfect for each other?
