What do you think about the way the UFO Phenomena is presented and interpreted in Television & Film?
Is it given too much credibility to be presented in TV? Is it made into a scifi joke to be more palatable for a television audience?
How would you like to see UFO's presented on TV in the future if at all? What do you think about the phenomena itself?

It seems so strange to me that these kinds of things from very credible people along side thousands of hours of radar recordings made it onto Television, and into some films, but we've yet to have any real public conversation about the phenomena. I agree some of these links may be faulty but there's nothing faulty about some of them. Why do you say "NONE"? The UK did in fact release thousands of UFO files, so did New Zealand and the US. What's not credible about hoards of astronauts and commercial pilots saying they saw UFO's? Especially when there's radar data to back up their claims?

It's really wacky when hoards of ex military and ex gov appear on TV offering to testify in congress that they saw these crazy things and the media just kind of glosses over it. I mean these aren't random peons these are Generals, Sergeants, some of the people we trust to test launch nuclear warheads, ex governors. I agree it's unclear what they are. To keep it board related I'll add on TV Casters or hosts usually avoid making any conclusions as well.
I agree there is bullshit on UFOTV but I also believe they have some gems. I am offering a mixed bag of links but in being honest about that I don't think any particular video will bring the whole discussion down. I trust people who take interest in this thread will have the maturity to assess each aspect of the phenomena independently. Don't throw the baby out with the bath water etc.

I love the Idea that there's another civilization living alongside us, older than us. We would be to them what untouched Aborigines are to us, Seems pretty plausible that there's massive open caverns underground too.
This idea of an underground world was featured in the new King Kong film, and if I remember correctly it was in journey to the center of the earth as well. Keeping it very tv&film.

Very few depictions accurately capture the mixture of fear, awe, and wonder that accompanies a UFO encounter. CEo3K still does a better job than almost any of them.
As far as the abduction experience goes, Fire in the Sky and Communion reign supreme, the former for the horror, the latter for the surreal quality.

The Fourth Kiind is pretty decent for the spook factor, too, even if it loses points for trying to pass itself off as being based on true events.
The Mothman Prophecies does a damn fine job of capturing the eeriness of dealing with the unknown/supernatural even if it's not precisely about UFO encounters, more like alien intelligence.
