1.) When the type of people who listen to talk radio say "mainstream media" they mean (((mainstream media)))

2.) When rich, conservative elites say "mainstream media" they mean "I disagree with it"

3.) Fox is a tightly controlled opinion generator with clear editorial direction enforced at nearly every level, unlike more mainstream outlets who are at worst vapid infotainment but allow a variety of editorial leeway
